Apple iPod classic 6th generation

 A great music player. The navigation and the interface leave much to be desired especially with the ploriferation of touch devices. But the iPOd classic has plenty of space, which is one that I'm looking for. It's space is unmatched even the most generous of touch devices. The one the comes clos is the Archos tablet but I figured the Archos tablet is too big and there are a lot of extra features that I won't need.

As for the video playback, it does the job all right. There are many limitations like the video format allowed as well as the diminutive screen. I got along with it all right though. I suspect that Apple just included the video playback capability just to make use of the screen. Without the video playback the iPod classic is still a good enough device.

Huge space. Very portable. Solid performance

love my ipod classic. this is actually my second unit, the first i handed down to my kid brother. i got an ipod classic again because i'm very satisfied with it. i need big space, to begin with, which the ipod classic handles really well. it's 160GB size may not be the biggest there is, but it's more than enough for me.

as far as performance is concerned, well, it's apple. can't go wrong with it when it comes to multimedia player. it's very intuitive and the sound is really nice to mu un-audiophillic ears.

for the design, i give it a 10. i really like the old apple design principles. very simple and not so flashy/shiny. as for the portability, i believe this is the best in it's class. the unibody design looks really tough and smooth.

iPod classic: It's a, well, classic!

Bought this iPod because my multimedia files have finally outgrown my iPod touch + iPhone. It's nice to have it around because the amount of music and videos that the iPod classic can carry is really huge. The big space is really convenient. Never mind if the iPod classic is not as intuitive as the iPod touch. It gets the job done.

Also, the aluminum finish of the iPod classic is reassuring, especially if you will have to use it on long bike rides, runs, and treks. Not that the other media player like the iPod touch is not tough, but the iPod classic presents very little that you will have to worry about. The screen size is just right. There is not noticeable crevices where dust and sweat can creep in.

The best thing about the iPod classic is the battery life. Unlike the iPod touch, the classic does very little else. Just play music, videos, and photos. You will not be able to get connected via wi-fi or play an app. And that makes the iPod classic long lasting. It's like having a dedicated machine to manage all your multimedia files.
